London’s Late Extravaganza
The Emerge Festival took place across London on 27th and 28th September 2019. It was a completely new type of event for London, in which one ticket bought a wristband offering entry to a number of venues.
There were artistic events, musical events, audio events, and a wide range of experiences on offer in the different venues participating.
Here in King’s Cross, the London Canal Museum hosted a unique sonic landscape in which the sound of the ice import trade and the sounds of the canals that once delivered ice, was brought to visitors by sound artist Tom White in a specially lit museum to create an immersive experience.
It is hoped that the festival will become an annual event.
