The area north of King’s Cross Station has been transformed into a retail and leisure area that builds on the heritage of the site and has preserved a large number of heritage buildings. Coal drops were fenced areas into which coal was dropped from railway wagons conveyed above them, so that coal merchants could load coal into carts for delivery to local customers.
The develpment is now home to restaurants, bars, and retail shops. Do not come here looking for bargains, you will find very few.
